Words Fail Me

I just want nothing more than to erase this from my head. Please, please, why does it linger so pungently in my brain...

Order Order

My honourable ladies and gentleman I have my suggestion for the new speaker of the house. He seems a like a thoroughly decent sort. If anything a little too understated.

Conchords Flown

So I missed it on TV and now the mofo is not even on iPlayer, this finds me both hating the (i)Player and the game...lolz.

Whilst searching for a replacement musical satire fix found this nice Radio 2 doc on the history of jokey music presented my Matt Lucas innit.

1959

Watching the last in a long line of fascinating documentaries I Sky+ed from the BBC's recent Jazz season. Tonight was "1959:The Year That Changed Jazz". Brubeck, Charlie Mingus, Miles Davis and this guy Ornette Coleman, examined in greater detail than I have cared to study them before. Fascinating, revolutionary, inspiring, a whole new subzero level of cool. I've got a lot of time for Jazz, and wouldn't the world be a slightly better place if more people made albums with covers like this:

Rotten

Let me make one thing clear: This is wrong

Both the product and the means of selling it.

But somehow (as is so often the case) it all turns out so bad, it's good. It's scratches a bad taste itch, that sometimes needs scratching.

In this respect it might just be the most honest advert ever. Good-bad, nasty-lovely. Pot Noodle I salute you. I'll never eat you, but I will salute you. For persevering in these enlightened times.

This Is My Life

In all it's humiliating, morbid, glory.

I've been there, (not literally) but in spirit.

Anyone who ever wants to be an actor should watch this video. It's hilarious, but to me is nothing short of documentary.

Any success I ever have, will be a form of revenge against the litany of people I've met who make this video a chilling piece of non-fiction.

Thank you Stefano

The Future is Messy

In Topshop yesterday. The floor of the multi-storey shopping mega-complex was littered with fashion detritus. It was a hot Saturday afternoon, and the un-airconditioned basement felt like the engine room of the last great money making machine on Oxford Street. God bless the sweaty denizens of HMS Rag Trade!
