Go Figure

The numbers speak for themselves this year...

Global Cinema takings: 28bn$

Global Video Game takings: Over...40bn$!!!

Don't it just put things in perspective!

I'm strangely proud to have been watching from the wings as my generation has acted as the gatekeepers of this transition from 2D blips to life-altering, mind-expanding, total immersion, 3D wizardry. I don't need to write a single word about Modern Warfare 2, it's all been said. But I happened to be passing through Leicester Square on the day that they were erecting barriers for the "premier" of the game. Yeah that's right, a big budget, full contact premier. That was the watershed moment, when I realised just how far we'd come since Woody Pop.

With that in mind, I've been thinking forward to how the "classic games" of our times will be viewed in the future. Enter Olly Moss with his paperback re-rub of some of the finest electronic gems..
